Michelle Agyemang has officially completed her move to Brighton & Hove Albion on loan for the 2025/26 campaign. The 19-year-old forward has rejoined the Seagulls after spending the entirety of the previous campaign on loan there.
This comes after a summer to remember for the youngster. The forward was part of England Women’s winning squad at Euro 2025 and played a starring role for the Lionesses. She found the net on two occasions in four appearances, including vital late equalisers in the quarter-final and semi-final. She was subsequently named Young Player of the Tournament for her contributions to England’s Euro win.
The club confirmed her loan on Arsenal.com as she will continue her development with Dario Vidosic’s side this season. During her stint with the Seagulls last season, Agyemang made a total of 22 appearances, scoring five goals and earning a nomination for the WSL’s Rising Star award.
Despite her exploits with the national team and Brighton, the forward has barely featured for the Gunners so far. She has made just six appearances for Arsenal Women, with her debut coming in November 2022.
Speaking on the move, Director of Women’s Football Clare Wheatley said: “We’re so proud of Michelle’s achievements this summer and throughout her journey at Arsenal, from her first steps in our academy through to our first-team squad. After discussing closely with Michelle and her family, we have all agreed that this move will provide Michelle with a further opportunity to develop and grow, as she continues to progress as a young player and person. We wish Michelle every success at Brighton and look forward to welcoming her back to Arsenal at the end of her loan”.

Given her exploits with Brighton and the Lionesses in the last three months, many would have expected the 19-year-old to remain with the Gunners this campaign. However, there is fierce competition for the forward places with Alessia Russo, Beth Mead, Caitlin Foord and Stina Blackstenius all competing for limited slots, while there is also the arrival of world-record signing Olivia Smith.
A good loan move for our young rising star?
