Official: Raquel Santos leaves Benfica after 244 futsal games | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Raquel Santos has left Benfica’s women’s futsal team after 10 seasons. The 28-year-old winger departs having made 244 official appearances and scored 114 goals.

Her numbers underline a central role in the side’s domestic dominance, and she became one of the team’s leading figures.

The Portugal international won eight national championships, eight Portuguese Cups, six Super Cups and three League Cups with the club.

In its farewell, the club thanked Santos for her professionalism, dedication, passion and commitment, and wished her success in her career and personal life.

Benfica continue to shape plans for next season. The club have been close to securing Gaby Vanelli and are also very near to landing Dinha, who plays for Nun'Álvares. She should strengthen the squad.
