Official: Real Madrid squad list for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League | OneFootball

The 2025/26 UEFA Champions League is about to get underway later this month and the Real Madrid squad list for the ‘league phase’ of the campaign has been confirmed.

With the draw for the league phase taking place last month and the fixture calendar being set, the participating teams in Europe’s top competition were required to submit their registered squad lists before September 2.

Real Madrid have submitted a squad without surprises regarding the first-team players, while also including many academy players on List B who may be called upon at any point during the group stage.

All of the Merengues’ new signings – Dean Huijsen, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alvaro Carreras, and Franco Mastantuono have been included in List A of the squad by Los Blancos.

Some of the most promising talents from La Fabrica, such as Jesus Fortea, Diego Aguado, Joan Martinez, Manuel Angel and Thiago Pitarch, who is a regular in first-team training now, have all been included as part of List B.

List A can only contain 25 players, with 8 places reserved for “homegrown players” (either trained at the club’s academy or at another club within the same federation).

List B, on the other hand, has no limit on places and is reserved for players born on or after 1 January 2004, provided they have been eligible to play for the club for an uninterrupted period of two years since turning 15.

The deadline to submit List A was 2 September, while List B can be submitted up until 00:00 hours on the day before a match.

Real Madrid will kick off their UEFA Champions League campaign on September 16 with a home game against Olympique de Marseille, before travelling to Kazakhstan to take on newbies Kairat Almaty.

Following that, Los Blancos face Juventus (H), Liverpool (A), Olympiacos (A), and Manchester City (H), before rounding off the league phase by hosting AS Monaco and then facing Benfica away.
