As Real Madrid get set to take on Villarreal on Matchday 8 of La Liga, manager Xabi Alonso has announced the squad list for the match.

The big news is that key defender Eder Militao is back in the squad after missing the midweek UEFA Champions League clash against Kairat Almaty.

The 27-year-old defender suffered a blow to his ankle against Atletico Madrid last weekend, leading to his absence for the trip to Kazakhstan. However, he has recovered fully and now returns to the squad, with a starting berth likely vs Villarreal.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid continue to remain without a recognised right-back for the clash at the Santiago Bernabeu as both Dani Carvajal and Trent Alexander-Arnold are out injured.

Despite that, Alonso has opted not to call up youngster David Jimenez to the squad, after having him at his disposal in the last two games. All signs point towards Raul Asencio starting as a full-back.

Meanwhile, Antonio Rudiger and Ferland Mendy also remain unavailable for the Spanish capital giants.

The likes of Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga, and Brahim Diaz will be hoping for starts after impressing off the bench against Kairat Almaty. Endrick still continues to wait for his first appearance under Alonso.
