Real Madrid will look to seal their place in the top eight of the UEFA Champions League and secure direct qualification to the Round of 16, as they get set to take on SL Benfica.
Ahead of kickoff against Jose Mourinho’s men at Estadio Da Luz, Real Madrid boss Alvaro Arbeloa has announced the starting XI that will be taking the field.
There is just one change made to the team that started at the weekend against Villarreal in La Liga, with Aurelien Tchouameni replacing Eduardo Camavinga as the holding midfielder.
The French international partners up with Arda Guler and Jude Bellingham in the centre of the park for Los Blancos.
Meanwhile, Thibaut Courtois starts in goal where he will be shielded by the centre-back pairing of Raul Asencio and Dean Huijsen.
Captain Federico Valverde continues at right-back, while Alvaro Carreras starts at left-back against his former employers.
In attack, Arbeloa has stuck with the trio of Franco Mastantuono, Kylian Mbappe, and Vinicius Jr., meaning the likes of Rodrygo Goes and Brahim Diaz have to settle for a spot on the bench.
