The Real Madrid head coach has made some notable changes to the team, starting with benching Jude Bellingham and not opting to start Kylian Mbappe, who has returned to full fitness.

Instead, the attacking unit comprises of Franco Mastantuono, who gets a rare starting opportunity, along with Brahim Diaz, Gonzalo Garcia, and Vinicius Jr.

Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni form the midfield double pivot for the home team against Oviedo.

In defence, there is a rare start for veteran defender David Alaba, who is expected to leave at the end of the season. He partners with Raul Asencio at the heart of the Real Madrid backline.

Meanwhile, Alvaro Carreras gets the nod at left-back after a string of matches where he was not used. Trent Alexander-Arnold continues at right-back, while Thibaut Courtois slots in as the goalkeeper.
