There have been some interesting developments regarding FC Barcelona in recent days. Despite the official season almost about to start, other operations are not being put on hold. One particular operation even involves a certain La Liga game to be played outside of Spain.

The Catalan club, as per the wishes of both Barça and even Javier Tebas as well, is involved in a proposal to play the La Liga game between La Blaugrana and Villarreal in the United States of America in December of this year. However, some important approvals needed to be sorted out for it.

Fortunately, it appears that the first big approval needed is already here. As confirmed by the RFEF, they have approved the proposal to play the La Liga game in question over in Miami, USA. This is a big step, and one that unlocks the path that must be taken now.

In the RFEF’s statement, they confirm that the proposal will now be forwarded to UEFA and FIFA. Those are the final two major proposals left to be approved, and once that happens, the idea to host the game in Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium would become a reality.

As for clashing schedules or other competitions, those will reportedly be moved around to accommodate the two participating clubs. Either way, if this match does end up taking place like this, it would be the first of its kind for the Spanish League.
