Official: Sportiello leaves Milan and joins Atalanta on a permanent basis | OneFootball

Marco Sportiello is back at Atalanta after two years with the Rossoneri.

After spending two years as the back of Mike Maignan, Sportiello has decided to leave Milan and go back to Atalanta, where he was before becoming a Rossonero.

The official announcement from both sides arrived on Friday:

“Milan can confirm that Marco Sportiello has made a permanent transfer to Atalanta BC. The Club would like to thank Marco for his constant commitment and professionalism and wishes him all the best for his future personal and professional endeavours.”

To replace Sportiello, Milan have signed Pietro Terracciano.

Sportiello is not the only goalkeeper to have left Milan this week, as Lapo Nava was also sold to Cremonese:

“Milan can confirm that Lapo Nava has joined US Cremonese on a permanent basis. The Club would like to thank Lapo for the professionalism and commitment he has shown since joining the Youth Sector and wishes him all the best for his personal and professional future.”
