Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to start Joaquin Correa in attack against Bologna. This afternoon’s 2024/2025 Serie A Match Day 33 clash kicks off at 18.00 CET.

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has stuck with a very strong starting eleven this evening.

That is in spite of the fact that the Nerazzurri are coming off the back of an exhausting Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Bayern Munich just a few days ago.

Nevertheless, Inzaghi has stuck with much of the eleven that started on Wednesday.

Therefore, the Inter coach has clearly signalled how important this evening’s match is.

Firstly, in goal it is Yann Sommer as usual.

Next, in defense, Inzaghi has confirmed all three starters in the back three from the Bayern match. Therefore, Benjamin Pavard, Francesco Acerbi, and Alessandro Bastoni all get the nod.

Thirdly, on the right flank it is Matteo Darmian. The 35-year-old played ninety minutes against Bayern; however, he does not get a rest here.

Joaquin Correa Gets The Nod In Attack

Therefore, Carlos Augusto starts at left-wingback for Inter.

However, in midfield it is the same trio that started against Bayern Munich in midweek.

Therefore, all of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Nicolo Barella get the nod.

Furthermore, in attack there is perhaps the most notable name on the teamsheet for Inter Milan.

That is Joaquin Correa. The Argentine replaces the injured Marcus Thuram in the lineup, partnering Lautaro Martinez in attack.

Meanwhile, Inter have two players absent through injury aside from Thuram. Namely, Piotr Zielinski and Denzel Dumfries.
