Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to start Joaquin Correa in attack and Kristjan Asllani in midfield against Hellas Verona. This afternoon’s Serie A matchday 13 clash kicks off at 15.00 CET.
Inter are returning from the international break. They’re back in action away to Hellas Verona in Serie A.
And Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has made some notable changes to the starting eleven for this evening’s match.
The most eye-catching change comes in attack.
Former Lazio, Sevilla, and Sampdoria forward Joaquin Correa starts alongside Marcus Thuram.
Correa had been widely expected to leave Inter during the summer transfer window. However, he remained at the club and has made a few substitute appearances this season.
But there has not yet been a start for Correa.
This afternoon, though, the 30-year-old gets the nod.
Meanwhile, in goal Yann Sommer starts as he has in all of Inter’s matches this season.
Then, in front of Sommer it is a back three of Yann Bisseck, Francesco Acerbi, and Alessandro Bastoni.
In midfield, meanwhile, and injury to Hakan Calhanoglu has given an opportunity to Kristjan Asllani.
The Albanian sits at the base of Inter’s midfield trio alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nicolo Barella.
Then, on the flanks Carlos Augusto and Matteo Darmian get the nod.
On the bench, the likes of Federico Dimarco, Benjamin Pavard, Davide Frattesi, Mehdi Taremi, and Marko Arnautovic are among the big names ready to come on and make an impact.
However, there is one notable absentee from the Inter matchday squad.
Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez pulled out of the squad due to flu-like symptoms.
