Official: Three Real Madrid starlets in the final shortlist for 2025 Golden Boy award | OneFootball

It is official – Real Madrid have three players nominated for the 2025 Golden Boy, the annual award given by Italian newspaper Tuttosport to the best footballer under the age of 21.

The nominees from the Spanish capital club are Arda Guler, Dean Huijsen, and Franco Mastantuono.

The shortlist of the top 25 contenders includes big names such as Pau Cubarsi of Barcelona, PSG starlet Desire Doue, considered the favorite for the award, Kenan Yildiz, and Jobe Bellingham – the brother of Real Madrid star and 2023 Golden Boy winner, Jude.

All three Real Madrid nominees have earned their places on merit, even if they might not be among the frontrunners this time.

Guler, now entering his final year of eligibility as he turns 21 in February, has impressed in recent months after a period of limited continuity last season.

Meanwhile, Huijsen and Mastantuono are both recognized for their outstanding performances last season – the former with Bournemouth and the latter at River Plate before both joined Real Madrid, where they have quickly established themselves as regular starters.

Huijsen, like Guler, is nearing the age limit for the award, but Mastantuono, at just 18 years old, still has several chances ahead of him.
