VfB Stuttgart have announced the signing of Grischa Prömel on a three-year contract until June 2029.
The 31-year-old helped secure European football for Christian Ilzer’s Hoffenheim squad for next season, have scored seven goals and provided two assists across 33 Bundesliga games.
“The desire to one day join VfB is one I’ve had for quite some time,” explained Prömel.
“I was born in Cannstatt, grew up in Esslingen and have always followed VfB over the years. In a way, it’s a dream come true for me and I’m excited to be wearing the Brustring from next season onwards.
VfB have built incredible momentum in recent years and are known for their attractive style of play. Seeing where the club is now is impressive, and it feels great to become a part of that journey.”
Fabian Wohlgemuth, VfB’s board member for sport, added: “We’re really pleased to have signed Grischa Prömel.
“Grischa is an outstanding footballer, is incredibly ambitious and has gained a lot of valuable experience in recent years. That combination makes him a priceless addition, particularly as he hails from the region and therefore has a strong affinity with VfB.”
Stuttgart secured a return to the UEFA Champions League next season, having finished fourth in the Bundesliga.
