Just one year after joining OGC Nice, Isak Jansson (24) could be on the move once more amid interest from an unnamed EFL Championship club, as per a report from Nice-Matin.
Jansson joined Nice in a €10m deal from Rapid Vienna last summer, however, the Swedish forward underwhelmed during his debut season at the Allianz Riviera. In 31 appearances for Le Gym in all competitions, he scored just once and failed to register any assists.
Nice must make sales this summer and, given his performances since joining, Jansson is an obvious candidate to leave the club. Whilst his teammate, Kevin Carlos, is the subject of strong interest from Preston North End, Jansson too could make the move to the EFL Championship this summer, Nice-Matin understands. A concrete approach could be made in the coming days, the publication understands.
In any case, the Swedish forward does not feature in the plans of new manager Olivier Pantaloni.
