Eagles made history on Thursday as they reached a maiden European final

Oliver Glasner has revealed Crystal Palace’s squad came through their Shakhtar Donetsk second leg unscathed and have no new injury concerns before they face Everton and Manchester City in the coming days.

The Eagles reached the Conference League final in their first season in European competition on Thursday when they beat Shakhtar at Selhurst Park to set up a final against Rayo Vallecano in Leipzig on May 27.

Along with City, who they face on Wednesday, Palace have four fixtures remaining of the Premier League season, while other clubs have three.

Their next match is against Everton at Selhurst on Sunday afternoon, and Glasner has said no players picked up injuries in Thursday’s 2-1 win.

“This was positive,” he said. “No injury concerns. Again, we’ll have a day to decide.

“You could see [against Shakhtar] that we had good options from the bench. Let’s see who is fit.

“We can’t take any risks with injuries, because we also play on Wednesday. Then we have one more day until [next] Sunday against Brentford, and then we have an entire week before Arsenal.

“An entire season of playing three games in six days, Thursday and Sunday, is really tough. We have to find the right players and we will.”

Glasner rotated his team last weekend against Bournemouth for a match bookended by the two legs of the Eagles’ Conference League semi-final tie but is undecided in how strong a team he will pick against the Toffees.

“I don’t know exactly,” the Austrian continued.

“I could see Adam Wharton was really done at the end [on Thursday]. I could see T [Tyrick] Mitchell had a knock on his quad [and] was limping. I think Ismaila Sarr was sprinting again, high numbers, Yeremy Pino worked so hard, JP [Jean-Philippe Mateta] the same.

“I will pick the team I think is best for the game. We need to get the win against Everton to be really safe in the league.”
