Olympique Lyonnais host Sparta Prague on 11 August, a night that will also trial paid park-and-ride and shuttles to Groupama Stadium. Ligue 1 resumes on 22 August with a trip to Toulouse.

The Champions League third qualifying round tie is over two legs. The first is in Prague on 4 August, the return in Décines-Charpieu. According to Le Progres, OL will introduce the new transport set-up then after the 2015 agreement with Sytral, under which the club funded matchday shuttles, ended.

Panettes and Eurexpo car parks are now priced at €12.50 per vehicle, covering return tram or bus shuttles. Eurexpo will not be available for the Sparta match. Travel from Part-Dieu Sud or La Soie on tram services will be charged at the standard TCL fare using a ticket or pass.

The shift away from free access drew a backlash in June from many season-ticket holders. One supporter calculated that parking across European nights could approach €300 and questioned any saving for OL, while another argued the move was the best way to empty the stadium.

There is also concern that on-street parking could rise again around the stadium. The practice had eased in recent years but might return in the smaller streets of Décines-Charpieu and Meyzieu, with some fans saying online they would choose it to avoid the €12.50 fee.
