It's official! On Instagram, Nayef Aguerd has confirmed he will miss the Champions League clash against Real Madrid.

On Tuesday evening, Real Madrid will host OM for the opening matchday of the Champions League. For this fixture, the Phocaeans will have to do without Nayef Aguerd. The Moroccan defender is following concussion protocol after an accidental collision with a Lorient player last Friday. The player confirmed the news on his official Instagram account.

"Following a clash during the last match against Lorient, a concussion protocol has been put in place as per regulations. As a result, I won't be able to travel to Madrid with my teammates. I'll be supporting them with all my heart for this first Champions League matchday! Once again, thank you for the incredible welcome you've given me, and tomorrow I'll be OM's number one supporter!" he wrote.
