Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana looks set to join Turkish side Trabzonspor on a season-long loan.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports that the 29-year-old has agreed to the switch and is expected to complete the move before Turkey’s summer window shuts on 12 September.

United signed off on the deal over the weekend, though there is no loan fee involved and no option for Trabzonspor to buy.

Onana, who has slipped to second choice under Ruben Amorim, saw his chances of regular football diminish further with the deadline-day arrival of Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp.

Trabzonspor are targeting the Cameroon international as a direct replacement for former No.1 Ugurcan Çak?r, who departed earlier this summer, and hope to have Onana available for their clash with Fenerbahçe on 14 September.
