Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has lifted the lid on what it truly takes to manage Mohamed Salah offering insight into the mentality & personality of the Egyptian superstar.

Salah recently made headlines with explosive comments expressing frustration over his relationship with current Liverpool boss Arne Slot.

Klopp breaks silence

Speaking to English media described the origins of Salah’s relentless mindset.

“We're all massively influenced by our past.. how we were raised where we grew up. Mo realised very early that he had to do more than others.” Klopp said

The German explained that Salah’s development was constant & intentional driven by hunger to keep improving.

“After every summer break, he would return with new skill as if he had spent weeks practising one specific type of pass. That was his mentality.”

Klopp says their relationship was built on shared desire to excel.

“We pushed each other, to make sure we never stopped. And we never stopped. That moment when we lifted the Premier League trophy, that connected us for life.”

He believes that achievement alone puts Salah among the game’s immortals.

“He will be remembered as one of the greatest players of all time.”

Klopp also highlighted the unique dynamic of working with global superstar.

“I wouldn't say he’s easy to manage but he’s not difficult either. The only time you have problems with Mohamed Salah is when he is not playing or you take him off.”

That competitive edge, Klopp insists, is part of why Salah became one of the most dangerous forwards of his generation.

At 33 Salah remains one of the Premier League’s most decisive forwards. So far this season, he has:

  • 19 appearance
  • 5 goal
  • 3 assist

But the tension with Slot has thrown his Liverpool future into serious doubt.
