Lawrence Shankland settled it in the 71st minute with a left-footed finish, giving Hearts a 2-1 victory over Rangers at Tynecastle Park. He is now on 14 league goals, third in the Scottish Premiership scoring chart.
The striker peeled away between the centre-backs and swept low into the bottom left from the middle of the area (71.), a cool strike that turned a tense game his side's way.
From there he led the line, offered an outlet and helped Hearts manage the closing stages. He was substituted in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time.
He finished with two attempts, one on target, one key pass and seven successful final-third passes, underlining both his penalty-box threat and link-up play for the Jambos.
Hearts visit Motherwell next. Rangers go to Celtic.
