Aremu Afeez struck in the first minute to give Aberdeen a 1-0 victory over Kilmarnock.
The Nigeria international burst into the centre of the box and swept a right-footed finish into the bottom right (1.), converting after Stuart Armstrong's pass to stamp immediate control on the contest.
From there, Afeez anchored midfield with sharp recoveries and positioning as the Dons managed territory and tempo. He added two clearances and three possession regains before making way (72.).
He ended with one attempt, one on target, two interceptions, one tackle won and 11 of 17 passes completed, plus two successful passes in the final third. Numbers that underline a clean, decisive cameo built on timing and tidy distribution.
Because he attacked the space between Kilmarnock's centre-backs and holding players early, then screened effectively out of possession, the Dons kept the game on their terms.
The Dons visit Livingston next. Kilmarnock host Dundee United next.
