The Round of 32 continues with three intriguing knockout ties as Australia face Egypt, Argentina take on Cabo Verde and Colombia meet Ghana.
Here are the big questions on Day 23.
Two evenly matched sides meet with a place in the last 16 on the line.
Australia reached the knockout stage after finishing second in Group D, producing disciplined performances throughout the group phase and once again showing the resilience that has become a hallmark of the Socceroos.
Egypt advanced as runners-up in Group G after remaining unbeaten in their final two group matches. Led by Mohamed Salah, the Pharaohs have looked organised defensively while carrying a constant threat on the counter-attack.
Our prediction: Australia 2-1 Egypt
The defending champions begin the knockout rounds against one of the tournament's great surprise packages.
Argentina were perfect in the group stage, winning all three matches with Lionel Messi proving once again why he's the greatest of all time.
Cabo Verde have already made history by reaching the knockout stage in their first-ever World Cup appearance. Their disciplined defending and fearless approach have made them one of the stories of the tournament, but facing Argentina represents their biggest challenge yet.
Argentina possess too much quality and experience to be troubled if they perform to their usual standards.
Our prediction: Argentina 3-0 Cabo Verde
The final match of the day could also be the most entertaining.
Colombia progressed from a difficult group with confident, attacking football and will believe they have the quality to make a deep run in the tournament.
Ghana showed tremendous character to reach the knockout rounds, combining pace in attack with a willingness to take risks in possession. The Black Stars have already caused problems for several highly rated opponents and will fancy their chances of another upset.
Colombia's greater control in midfield may ultimately make the difference in what should be an open contest.
Our prediction: Colombia 2-1 Ghana

Lionel Messi remains the player capable of deciding any match.
The Argentina captain enjoyed another outstanding group stage and enters the knockout rounds in excellent form. With Argentina chasing back-to-back World Cup titles, expect Messi to once again be central to everything they create in attack. Reuters noted that Argentina have carried significant momentum into the knockout rounds after winning all three group matches under Scaloni.
Cabo Verde have become the smallest nation ever to reach the FIFA World Cup knockout stage. Playing at their first World Cup, they have already produced one of the tournament's biggest stories by advancing to the Round of 32.
