What games are on today?

Czechia v South Africa

Czechia take on South Africa with both teams looking for their first points of the tournament.

The European nation lost to Korea Republic in their opening clash whilst South African struggled in the World Cup's first match versus Mexico.

This could be a game of nip and tuck in Atlanta.

Our prediction: Czechia 1-0 South Africa

Switzerland v Bosnia and Herzegovina

Switzerland were stunned in their first match as Qatar scored in injury time to claim a 1-1 draw.

Bosnia on the other hand looked like the better side against Canada but also came away with just a point.

This match could go one of two ways - game of the tournament or snoozefest.

Our prediction: Switzerland 0-1 Bosnia

Canada v Qatar

With two draws on the first matchweek, Group B really is open for anyone to win.

Co-hosts Canada therefore will fancy their chances against Julen Lopetegui's Qatar.

The big news for them is that Alphonso Davies could return to the side after injury.

Our prediction: Canada 1-0 Qatar

Mexico v Korea Republic

Mexico's opening day win over South Africa was one of the highlights of the World Cup so far, but will their tournament come to a sudden halt against Korea Republic?

Korea were exceptional in their win over Czechia but an off-pitch controversy involving their home media and Son Heung-min has the potential to drown out all that goodwill.

Which player should I look out for?

It's been a busy few weeks for Mexico striker Raul Jimenez.

The veteran forward left club side Fulham at the end of his contract and was then quickly re-signed by old team Wolves.

Raul is loved at Molineux but that affection comes secondary to the outpouring of emotion he received from the home crowd on matchday one.

The 35-year-old scored in their 2-0 win over South Africa and looked consistently sharp as the focal point of El Tri's attack.

Don't be surprised if he bags again today.

Can you give me one stat to impress my friends?

  1. Canada are unbeaten in their last four matches in Vancouver and were last beaten in British Columbia all the way back in 2016.
