So what are the burning questions ahead of day nine of the World Cup? Let's find out.

What games are on today?

USA v Australia

Mauricio Pochettino's side were simply sensational in their opening game of Group D.

The hosts battered Paraguay 4-1 in a performance that many were calling the USA's best ever at a World Cup.

They'll be hoping to keep up that momentum when they face Australia in Seattle.

Our prediction: USA 1-1 Australia

Scotland v Morocco

"No Scotland, no party" has been the never-ending chant at this World Cup and the Tartan Army will be bellowing it no matter the result later.

And that's good news because this could be a tough assignment for Steve Clarke's side against a Morocco outfit who tested Brazil in their opener.

Our prediction: Scotland 0-2 Morocco

Brazil v Haiti

On paper this game could be considered one of the biggest mismatches in the whole tournament.

But after the first round of matches, we're not so sure.

Haiti looked impressive against Scotland and Brazil looked anything but in their match with Morocco.

Our prediction: Brazil 2-0 Haiti

Türkiye v Paraguay

This is a match-up between two sides with their metaphorical tails between their legs.

Both were poor in their opening games and will be looking to rectify that in San Francisco.

Our prediction: Türkiye 1-0 Paraguay

Which player should I look out for?

'Super' John McGinn was Scotland's hero last time out and there's no reason he can't be that again against Morocco.

The Aston Villa midfielder has been one of the most underrated in the Premier League for a long time and is now getting his chance to shine on the biggest stage.

If he puts in another performance like he did against Haiti, then he'll never have to buy a pint at home again.

Can you give me one stat to impress my friends?

  1. Australia's only previous match against a World Cup host came in 1974 when they lost 3-0 to West Germany in Hamburg.
