Leeds United can move nine points clear of the dropzone by beating bottom-placed Wolves on Saturday, and Opta’s supercomputer has delivered a strong call on Leeds in its final-table projection.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke’s side are six points above third-bottom Tottenham after Monday night’s 2-1 win at Manchester United, and the gap could grow further this weekend.
Leeds kick off at 3pm. Spurs, still seeking a first league win of 2026, take on Brighton at 5.30pm under new boss Roberto De Zerbi, who faces his former club.
On Sunday, fifth-bottom Nottingham Forest, three points adrift of Leeds, host second-bottom Burnley. Fourth-bottom West Ham, four behind Leeds, visit Crystal Palace on Monday night.
Whatever happens, Leeds will still have five matches to play after Wolves, including away trips to Tottenham and West Ham.
The model projects Arsenal to finish first on 82 points, five clear, with Manchester City second on 77. Aston Villa are tipped for third on 65, ahead of Manchester United on 64, Liverpool on 61 and Chelsea on 57.
