O’Reilly eyeing World Cup spot after making England debut | OneFootball

Manchester City’s Nico O’Reilly is eyeing a place at next year’s World Cup after making his England senior debut in the win over Serbia.

O’Reilly started at left-back and played the full 90 minutes as the Three Lions beat Serbia 2-0 at Wembley. 

“It means so much, it’s a dream come true to have my family here watching,” O’Reilly said. “It’s crazy.”

“I just tried to play my game, surrounded by world class players so obviously that makes it easier for me as well. I was just excited.

“It’s an aim for me to try and get to the World Cup. I’ll keep working hard and taking it game by game, day by day.”
