Nottingham Forest locked horns with Porto at the Estadio do Dragao earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on their travels in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League quarterfinal clash. The Premier League side made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 11th minute when William Gomes found the back of the net. However, Nottingham equalised thanks to an unfortunate own goal from Martim Fernandes just a couple of minutes later. The two teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.

Both sides cancelled each other out in the second 45 minutes as Nottingham secured a hard-fought 1-1 draw away from home.
