Real Sociedad proved too strong for Osasuna at Anoeta, winning 3-1 after taking control before the break.
AS notes that Real Sociedad appear to have the measure of Osasuna. The visitors began brightly and Víctor Muñoz struck the post on 11 minutes, but Mikel Oyarzabal and Gonçalo Guedes quickly put the hosts in charge with goals four minutes apart.
After the interval Lisci's side pushed, yet Guedes made it 3-0 on 51 minutes. Víctor Muñoz reduced the arrears on 76 minutes from Barja's pass, though Osasuna departed Anoeta empty-handed.
Herrera did not make glaring mistakes but endured a tough night and conceded three. Rosier improved as it went on, Boyomo gave away a handball penalty on his return from injury, Catena led a back line that lacked the expected solidity, and Javi Galán defended well while looking to surge forward.
Torró distributed in front of the defence but featured only in the first half. Moncayola covered ground and tried to knit play without much success, while Moro started for the absent Rubén García and needed more daring. Aimar Oroz produced neat touches yet was less incisive than usual.
Víctor Muñoz was Osasuna's standout, hitting the post early then scoring to soften the scoreline. Budimir, contrary to habit, created little danger.
From the bench, Iker Muñoz replaced Torró and improved fluency. Moi Gómez was tidy and aided the attacking play. Herrando did well in his minutes, and Barja again provided the spark with the assist for Víctor.
