Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembélé has taken to social media, to send a message of support to Barcelona midfielder Gavi.
This of course comes after the Spanish international was condemned to another lengthy incoming spell on the sidelines.
Gavi was this week forced under the knife once more.
After their engine room star picked up a fresh issue in the same knee in which he previously suffered an ACL tear, Barcelona made the call to sanction a surgical procedure.
Initially, the hope was that as much would see Gavi condemned to a spell of just four to six weeks on the treatment table.
In a blow for club and player alike, however, Tuesday’s operation uncovered a far more serious problem than previously identified by the Blaugrana medical staff.
Gavi, as a result, is expected to miss anywhere between four and five months of action.
Messages of support, in turn, have since come pouring in for the youngster from across world football.
And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, adding his name to this list of well-wishers was Ousmane Dembélé.
Fresh off securing the 2025 Ballon d’Or, frontman Dembélé – a close friend of Gavi following their time spent together at Barcelona – took to Instagram, to write:
“Stay strong, little brother. I hope you recover soon so I can see you enjoying yourself on the field again! Big hug and I miss you!”
