Ousmane Dembélé is receiving treatment and under close monitoring after right calf discomfort, ahead of the Champions League final on 30 May. The club said in a statement that he left the 1-2 loss to Paris FC as a precaution and will stay in treatment in the coming days.

The situation points to no lesion, though he will pause training as the squad return to full sessions at 17:00 on Wednesday. Those around him have tried to play down concern before the final.

Caution still prevails in the medical staff given his record. He had a left-calf lesion against Bayern Munich on 4 November in the league phase, then further left-calf discomfort against Monaco in late February.

That February issue ruled him out of the next three games, Metz, Monaco in the play-off second leg, and Le Havre. On Monday, messaging from all sides echoed the medical note, repeating there was no worry. At 29, he is regarded as knowing his body and reading warning signs.

This alert came four days after Lens, one of the first times he had strung games together, and lands with the final close and four weeks until France’s World Cup opener on 16 June against Senegal. The France staff are watching closely, particularly if Paris were to push him before full resolution. There are 12 days left, and whether he plays in an internal practice match this weekend will be telling.
