Real Sociedad came from behind to beat Alavés 3-2, Oyarzabal and Guedes dragging them back before Oskarsson clinched it. According to AS, Remiro’s saved penalty proved pivotal in a ratings night that lauded the match-winners.
Rebbach struck from distance after seven minutes. Oyarzabal levelled on 15, running onto Guedes’ pass and finishing across Raúl Fernández. Alavés went 2-1 up when Toni Martínez converted a penalty conceded by Turrientes for a foul on Jonny.
Remiro denied Calebe on 43, then kept out another penalty that would have made it 3-1, a moment that lifted the visitors.
Guedes equalised with 15 minutes left, finishing a counter from Turrientes’ through ball. Oskarsson then made it 3-2 at 79, the goal helped by the referee, with Oyarzabal’s awareness key in the move.
There were stern verdicts elsewhere. Caleta-Car endured a torrid night, failing to cover the first goal and giving away a dreadful penalty. Aihen struggled and was booked before being withdrawn, while Soler and Brais failed to influence proceedings.
From the bench, Sucic brought order and sparked the break for the winner, Odriozola added tempo, and Dani Díaz was incisive. Sergio Gómez looked ill-suited on the wing, leaving Aihen exposed. Zubeldia arrived in stoppage time to protect the lead but twice lost the ball.
