Pacheco to get chance to convince Matarazzo at Real Sociedad | OneFootball

Jon Pacheco will report for Real Sociedad’s pre-season on 4 July after a loan at Deportivo Alavés.

According to AS, the club are deep into plans for next season despite no market moves so far. Signings are expected, and sporting director Erik Bretos suggested the defence is likely to be reinforced.

The Navarrese centre-back, under contract until 2029, impressed in the first half of the campaign with Alavés but lost prominence after the break.

Bretos said Pacheco must help analyse why he slipped out of the side in Vitoria and what he can improve to avoid a repeat, with the aim of establishing himself at La Real. He added that he counts on him, rates his talent and is keen to have him at the club next season, believing the player is eager to make the most of the opportunity.

Pacheco will join up with the senior group, working with Pellegrino Matarazzo for the first time.
