Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner says he wants to keep ahold of Marc Guehi beyond the January transfer window.

With just six months remaining on his contract, the centre-back could be sold next month if the Eagles want to earn a fee rather than lose him for nothing next summer.

BBC Sport claim that Guehi is more likely than not going to see out the current campaign before moving elsewhere, with a number of clubs in the Premier League and abroad interested in his signature.

Speaking after Sunday’s defeat to Spurs, Glasner told BBC Match of the Day the club does not want to lose their captain in the winter window. “Of course we want to keep everybody,” he said.

Whether or not Palace lose Guehi in January, the club are expected to make moves regardless in order to add more depth to the squad, which has been stretched thin by a heavily congested schedule. They have already played 30 games this season due to their involvement in the UEFA Conference League and reaching the quarter-finals of the League Cup.

Asked if the south London outfit will be looking to bring in reinforcements, Glasner responded: “Let’s see. When I see the way we are playing against a Tottenham team who looked like every shot was a goal, one set play, we will see.

“Again it is quite simple. You just need to look at the stats. We are the team that are constantly underperforming in scoring goals when we create a lot, but nobody does it on purpose. We need to get this fixed.”
