Crystal Palace booked their spot in the Conference League semi-final despite a 2-1 loss away to Fiorentina.
The Eagles' 3-0 victory in the first leg proved to be an insurmountable task helped by Ismaila Sarr's opener after Daniel Muñoz's cross was headed in by the Palace man giving David de Gea no chance.
Fiorentina levelled the score on the night when Jaydee Canvot brought down Rolando Mandragora resulting in a penalty for the home side. Albert Gudmundsson was as cool as you like from the spot-kick, sending Dean Henderson the wrong way.
The home side reduced the deficit to two goals in total early in the second half when Cher Ndour fired in from the edge of the area.
I Viola continued to push with Henderson needing to deny Gudmundsson again and keep the score 4-2 in favour of Palace on aggregate.
In the end, Palace held firm to book their place in the semi-final where they will face Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk.
Indeed, the only sour note for Oliver Glasner will be having to take both Adam Wharton and Maxence Lacroix off in the first half due to injuries.
