Palmeiras return to training on Sunday 21 after the World Cup pause, with seven players away at the tournament. The first half of 2026 brought limited minutes for the club’s academy graduates, led by Allan.

According to Nosso Palestra, the hierarchy moved for experienced signings after Abel Ferreira flagged a lack of experience in 2025’s decisive moments.

Allan has featured in 34 matches for 2,367 minutes in his second year as a professional. Left back Arthur is next on the list with 21 games and 1,345 minutes, having become a starter in the two months before the break because of injuries to Piquerez and Jefté.

The other youngsters played more sparingly. Luighi, Benedetti, Larson, Riquelme Fillipi, Luis Pacheco and Erick Belé ranged from 574 to 191 minutes.

Among the squad’s workload leaders are Carlos Miguel on 34 games and 3,060 minutes, Marlon Freitas on 35 and 2,881, and Gustavo Gómez on 33 and 2,870. Flaco López has 35 and 2,695, Murilo 31 and 2,612, and Andreas Pereira 34 and 2,451.
