Palmeiras confirm signing of forward Glaucia for 2026 season | OneFootball

Palmeiras confirmed on Tuesday the signing of 32-year-old forward Glaucia, formerly of Flamengo, for the 2026 season, the club’s fifth addition to the women’s squad.

Regarded as one of Brazil’s leading players, she underlined the weight of the shirt and her ambition for titles.

She said she is delighted to join a group she has followed in recent years and expects a packed calendar with many competitions. She added that Palmeiras must always think big and that she is highly motivated to chase trophies.

The forward also recalled a childhood bond with the club through her grandfather, a devoted Palmeiras supporter.

Born in São Bernardo do Campo, she began at her hometown club before spells with Centro Olímpico, Santos, São Caetano, São José, Sport Recife, Iranduba, Jeonbuk KSPO, São Paulo and Flamengo. In South Korea with Jeonbuk KSPO, she was her team’s top scorer and the league’s third highest in 2018.

Known for her finishing, she was named among the country’s best in 2019, when she recorded 19 goals and 18 assists. Her honours with Flamengo include the Campeonato Carioca Feminino in 2024 and 2025 and the 2025 Copa Rio.

Palmeiras have also announced Duda Santos, Ana Guimarães, Layssa Santos and Duda Basílio as part of a plan to reinforce the squad and maintain competitiveness in 2026.
