Palmeiras expected to debut Leila Pereira plane on Peru trip | OneFootball

Palmeiras are expected to debut Leila Pereira's second Placar Linhas Aéreas aircraft on the trip to face Sporting Cristal in Peru on 5 May at 19:00 Brasília time, the fourth round of the Conmebol Libertadores group stage. According to Nosso Palestra, the Verdão delegation are expected to travel on the new jet.

The aircraft was cleared by ANAC in recent days for domestic and international operations within South America.

It seats 92, six fewer than the plane Palmeiras have used previously, with greater space between seats and one fewer row.

Currently registered as PS-YVL, the model was bought from an African airline that went bankrupt during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In recent months the company has increased charters for Brazilian clubs including Red Bull Bragantino, Mirassol, Vasco and Grêmio. Santos also flew with Placar Linhas Aéreas this week to Ecuador for a Conmebol Sudamericana match.

Before the Peru trip, Palmeiras visit Cerro Porteño of Paraguay on 29 April at 21h30 Brasília time in the Libertadores.
