Palmeiras hand World Cup call-ups a surprise gift | OneFootball

Palmeiras marked their World Cup call-ups with a post-match gesture, as seven players prepare to represent four national teams next week.

According to Nosso Palestra, after the Libertadores fixture against Júnior Barranquilla at Nubank Parque, the club gave each selected player a pin bearing his national flag and the Palmeiras crest.

Paraguay’s trio are Gustavo Gómez, Maurício and Ramón Sosa, with Jhon Arias named by Colombia.

Argentina’s representative is Flaco López, while Uruguay’s pair are Piquerez and Martínez.

The gesture acknowledged their selections ahead of the competition.
