Palmeiras hold pool recovery session as Vitor Roque and Jefté continue rehabilitation | OneFootball

Palmeiras ran a regenerative session on Thursday, featuring hydrotherapy work in the pool the day after Wednesday’s training match, while Vitor Roque and Jefté continued individual rehabilitation.

Globo.com reports that the squad also completed preventive mobility and strength drills. Vitor Roque has been in physical transition since Monday and is working indoors, while Jefté, who had right-knee surgery in June, remains immobilised and is doing physiotherapy with an ankle weight, both continuing their programmes with the Núcleo de Saúde e Performance.

Among the returning call-ups, Emiliano Martínez and Piquerez took part, as did Giay, who was with Argentina during their World Cup preparations.

During the World Cup pause, Palmeiras played three training matches. They beat Mauaense 6-0, overcame Primavera 3-1, and staged an internal game between first-team players and Crias da Academia.

Gustavo Gómez, Mauricio and Ramón Sosa return early next week, and Jhon Arias returns on Wednesday 15. The team train in two periods on Friday, then play another training match against Juventus on Saturday morning.
