Palmeiras quartet train fully as leaders prepare for Cruzeiro, Allan suspended | OneFootball

Palmeiras returned from Londrina after a 4-1 win over Jacuipense-BA in the Copa do Brasil. They began preparations on Thursday at the Academia de Futebol for Cruzeiro on Saturday, 16, at 21:00 at Arena Crefisa Barueri in the 16th round of the Brasileiro.

According to Nosso Palestra, the starters from the cup tie worked in the recovery and neuroscience centre. The rest of the squad trained on a reduced pitch, then focused on build-up play, crossing and finishing.

Arthur, Andreas Pereira and Allan completed full sessions after recovering, and Paulinho did likewise after missing Londrina for load management. Allan is suspended and will not face Cruzeiro for Abel Ferreira’s side. The other three could bolster the squad.

As in recent days, Piquerez followed his programme on the pitch with physiotherapists from the Health and Performance Unit. Benedetti, who was injured against Jacuipense, stayed indoors and will undergo further tests.

Erick Belé, among the scorers in the cup win, spoke about the emotion of his first senior goal for Palmeiras. The league leaders have 34 points, with 10 wins, four draws and one defeat.
