Palmeiras recall Sorriso from Avaí loan as forward heads to Al-Fateh | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Palmeiras have recalled 21-year-old forward Sorriso from his loan at Avaí, with the player heading to Saudi Arabia to join Al-Fateh.

A clause in the agreement ensures Avaí receive financial compensation for his departure.

A standout from Palmeiras' academy and a two-time Brasileirão Under-20 champion, Sorriso made his professional debut with Avaí.

He featured in 28 games for the Leão da Ilha, scoring three and supplying three assists. He was part of the squads that lifted the Recopa Catarinense and the Copa Sul-Sudeste.

His final appearance came on 21 July, when he came on at half-time against América-MG in Série B. Avaí won after coming from behind.
