Palmeiras set 2026 mantra ‘Recomeçar’ to shape season | OneFootball

Palmeiras have set “Recomeçar” as the guiding mantra for 2026. The club see the season as a reset and a chance to demand more of themselves and to write a fresh story.

According to Globo.com, the Academia de Futebol is undergoing renovation and the entrance wall now bears the word, its “o” shaped like the club crest above images of the four trophies in play, Paulista, Brasileiro, Copa do Brasil and Libertadores.

Head coach Abel Ferreira told supporters he had not promised titles, only a fight to win them, and asked for their help. He called for unity in every match and said the aim was not to repeat, but to do better than last year.

These season mottos have been used since 2022 to steer the squad’s mindset. Other phrases are posted on department doors and chosen by staff in each area, while the main line is devised by Abel and his staff then validated by the board.

Recent slogans were, in 2022, “É impossível vencer aquele que não desiste jamais”, in 2023, “E agora? Vamos fazer o mesmo, mas melhor”, and in 2024, “Vamos exigir o máximo que cada um de nós pode dar”. In 2025 it was “Reconquistar. Por nós. Pelos nossos. Por nosso Alviverde inteiro”, and for 2026 it is “Recomeçar”.
