Palmeiras beat Sporting Cristal 2-1 away on Tuesday night in the Libertadores group stage, and now enjoy a longer breather before their next outing.

They return on Sunday 10 against Remo in Belém in the Campeonato Brasileiro, leaving four days between fixtures. According to Nosso Palestra, the side have tended to thrive with longer gaps this season.

Across 15 spells of at least three days' rest, Abel Ferreira's team recorded 11 wins, two draws and only two defeats.

The Remo fixture will be the club's 32nd match of the year.

It will also mark the 16th interval with three days or more between games, representing half of Palmeiras' 2026 scheduling breaks.
