Palmeiras stay top of Brasileirão as Athletico-PR lose rescheduled match | OneFootball

Athletico-PR lost 1-0 to Corinthians on Wednesday 19 in a rescheduled round two fixture, keeping Palmeiras top of the Campeonato Brasileiro. All 20 clubs have now played three games.

Palmeiras last played in the league on Thursday 12, beating Internacional 3-1 at Beira-Rio in round three. According to Nosso Palestra, that win moved Abel Ferreira’s side into first place.

With seven points from three matches, Palmeiras lead ahead of São Paulo, Fluminense and Bahia, who also have seven. Athletico-PR could have reached nine with a win, but remain on six in sixth place.

Palmeiras return to league action on Wednesday 25 at 21:30 Brasília time, facing Fluminense at Arena Barueri in round four.

Before that, they meet Capivariano, also at Arena Barueri, on Saturday 21 at 20:30 Brasília time in the Campeonato Paulista quarter-finals.
