Palmeiras target Vitor Roque return for Libertadores last 16 amid season-long injury issues | OneFootball

Palmeiras have yet to fully clear their medical department after a season largely defined by fitness setbacks.

According to Nosso Palestra, the club’s priority is to have Vitor Roque fit to feature in the Conmebol Libertadores last 16 against Cerro Porteño. The forward remains in recovery and there is hope he will be available for the continental tie.

Absences have touched multiple areas of the squad, affecting Piquerez, Jefte, Bruno Fuchs, Paulinho and Vitor Roque.

The number 10 is expected to receive increased minutes once competitions resume.

During the World Cup pause, the coaching and medical staff are working to speed up returns, aiming to be more competitive for the season’s decisive fixtures, particularly the Libertadores and other ongoing competitions.
