Palmeiras return to Nubank Parque on Sunday as Campeonato Brasileiro leaders, buoyed by Agustín Giay stepping up his recovery to rejoin training with the squad.
They host Atlético-MG at 19:30 in round 20. According to Nosso Palestra, the squad worked at the Academia de Futebol on Friday as preparations continued, and Palmeiras sit on 44 points with the league's best home record, 85.19%.
Their last outing at the stadium was on 31 May, a 1-0 win over Chapecoense before the World Cup break.
Defender Murilo said the players have missed the supporters, noted how strong they have been at home and said they aim to keep doing the same, working with focus to bring more joy to Palmeiras fans.
He expects a hard game against Atlético-MG, who he described as a very good side with top players, but said the squad remain fully confident in themselves.
Giay, recovering from a right ankle sprain, trained with the group. Forward Vitor Roque, in physical transition, and midfielder Felipe Anderson, who missed the Coritiba match due to a left thigh oedema, also took part in on-pitch work.
The session focused on combination play, crosses, finishing and small-sided games. Palmeiras now look to extend their lead and start the second half of the season with another positive result at home.
