Cole Palmer will remain sidelined for Chelsea after suffering a broken toe, Enzo Maresca has revealed.
Palmer has been out since September because of a groin problem but has now suffered a separate injury in an accident at home.
“He is probably not available for tomorrow for sure, Barcelona for sure or Arsenal for sure, Blues boss Maresca said.
“Unfortunately, he had an accident at home where he hit his toe. It is nothing important but he won’t be back in the next week.”
The forward had been nearing a return following his groin injury.
“He was very close,” Maresca said. “He was back with us almost with the groin and it’s very good news. And then again, he had this small problem and hopefully it’s nothing important.”
Benoit Badiashile is available to return to the Chelsea squad for the game against Burnley on Saturday, however, in a boost for the Blues.
