Panama secures World Cup berth with win against El Salvador | OneFootball

PANAMA CITY – The Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup concluded with Panama earning a 3-nil win against El Salvador in Group A on Tuesday at Estadio Rommel Fernández in Panama City, Panama.

César Blackman placed Panama in the lead with a right-footed shot in the 17’.

Éric Davis converted a penalty kick attempt in the 45’+4’ to double the Panama lead.

José Luis Rodríguez added a third for Panama in the 85’, with a left-footed finish from the left side of the six-yard box, to breakthrough after a save from El Salvador goalkeeper Mario González.

Panama (3-3-0) ends the Final Round as first place in its group to qualify for its second FIFA World Cup. Los Canaleros sealed the direct berth thanks to its victory and Suriname’s loss at Guatemala.
