Pape Thiaw out as Senegal coach, backroom staff also departing | OneFootball

Pape Thiaw has been removed as Senegal head coach, with his entire backroom staff also set to leave.

The federation announced the decision on Saturday evening after a meeting of its Executive Committee.

It said it had begun a process to end Thiaw’s role along with that of the whole technical staff.

The lengthy meeting in Dakar followed Senegal’s World Cup round of 16 exit to Belgium, a 2-3 defeat after extra time.

Thiaw had been in charge of the Lions of Teranga since December 2024, and the question of his successor now arises.
