Lucas Paquetá has been diagnosed with a fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his right hand after tests on Thursday morning at Ninho do Urubu. Globo.com reports that he will use a specific immobilisation on the area to keep training and playing without restrictions for Flamengo.
The midfielder felt the issue during the match against Cruzeiro at the Maracanã in the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. He informed the medical staff at the time and was assessed when the squad reconvened.
Paquetá started on Wednesday, played 73 minutes and was withdrawn in the second half after a strong display.
He remains available for Saturday's meeting with Botafogo at Estádio Nilton Santos, kick-off 20:30 Brasília time.
He and the other starters completed a recovery session on Thursday and will report on Friday to finish preparations at the training centre.
