Promoted to Ligue 1, Paris FC already pay some players handsomely, yet the Arnault-owned club is keeping a measured wage structure with performance-related pay set to grow.
According to L'Équipe, expectations soared after the family’s late 2024 takeover and a so-called Paris FC tax has appeared in negotiations, illustrated late in the summer window when Saint-Étienne sought €42m for Lucas Stassin while Paris FC offered €30m.
For their top-flight return, the capital club have a top 10 earning above €100,000 gross per month, led by Ciro Immobile on €250,000. Below that sit bands between €40,000 and €90,000, then €10,000 to €25,000. The average is about €84,000.
Sporting director Marco Neppe wants bonuses tied to performances to become the norm, echoing practices in Germany and within LVMH. An exception was considered last summer for N’Golo Kanté, who would have earned close to €5m a year.
The biggest packages, for Immobile and Moses Simon, have clear explanations. Immobile, 36, retains roughly his Bologna-level pay after arriving during the winter window. Simon’s €230,000 reflects the loss of an impatriation tax break on moving to the capital, which the club partly offset.
Recent recruits Rudy Matondo and Patrick Zabi, signed for €17m and €25m including bonuses, also fit the controlled approach. Both had richer offers elsewhere but chose the Paris FC project, with Zabi due next season.
